Hi All, There was some discussion about getting KCLUG branded polo shirts during the last meeting, and I, coincidentally, received a Land's End Business catalog[1] for KCLUG today. L.L. Bean[2] also has a business section. They both seem to have similar prices. It would probably cost about $40 per shirt.

Ouch, kinda on the high side. Maybe for you, but I think $20-25 is more than enough.
How about finding one of these guys with the computerized sewing machines you see at flea markets? I htink they could do it a lot cheaper. Provide your own shirt?
I'd like to see a little Tux with KCLUG underneath.

Why not look at cafe press? They will print the shirts on demand and seems to have a pretty good setup. www.cafepress.com

I think the idea is to use the KCLUG Tux and add the letters KCLUG underneath. They are expensive, but they look professional. Oren was looking at doing some, but I think there was a problem getting the machine to work with polo shirts.

I've got a friend who is getting into this (sewn logos on shirts/hats/etc.) as a salesperson for a company. Maybe I should give him a call for information.

If you really want to go low-end on the pricing, we should do what Monty did at last year's ITEC and do Iron-On T-shirt transfers. Print them up on a decent color inkjet or laser printer and provide your own $10 shirt, and you would be able to give everyone an official KCLUG polo shirt.

Could we do both -- a nice shirt for us old fellers, and sell the transfers to anyone and everyone. Then if school kids wanted them, they could just DIY. Or anyone else. Discount them a buck or two for KCLUG list memebers.
I'd rather have a nice embrodered Tux. Since I probably won't wear one until I get married, if then . . . . .

On the two questions on size and color my friend says this: "Brian, You can have what ever colors you want. From small to XL are the same price. Any thing over XXL increases in price by about $1.50 per size up to I think 5XL. There is no minimum order."
I'll have to clarify with him on this but it looks like this to me: S-XL $15/$20 XXL $16.50/$21.50 3XL $18.00/$23 4XL $19.50/$24.50 5XL $21/$26
The low price for the base model polo, and the upper price for the finer quality polo. The base model polos may last 5-7 years, less or more (since mine are now in that age range), depending on use.

This pricing sounds reasonable, especially for the quality.
