With Groupware, comes a shared calendar. Maybe you misunderstand the meaning of groupware. Usually it means webmail, calendar, addressbook, webspace, possibly other online apps, basically an online office.

No, I understand groupware! :) And it's really kewl! I've got it installed and working. It's exactly what the church needs - an online collaboration site so we aren't constantly re-inventing the wheel!

Which is severe overkill if all you want is a public events calendar.
I had one up for a while, but it was obnoxious to maintain, so I won't recommend it. I just post events as a text list now, that seems to work fine.
