Why isn't BitTorrent (or any other P2P software for that matter) used as an official, sanctioned, software distribution channel along with HTTP and FTP? Specifically, why aren't places like SourceForge, kernel.org, Gentoo, Mozilla, and OpenOffice using it?
Not sure, But IMHO its doomed to a life of darkness like most p2p, hotline and, scour. They are/were all good things in concept, but end up otherwise. Mostly used for nefarious activities(pirating software and audio, distributing porn, etc..), rather than they good they were most likely designed for.
