Just to make it clear, you never /ever/ want to encode from MP3 to OGG. Going to lossy -> lossy is bad.
Also, you might find that 160 Kbps is about right. Beware of higher bitrates; higher bitrates mean increased computational requirements. Some of the OGG portable players can't handle more than 192
Kbps.
True enough, even my MP3 CD player can't handle more than 128K MP3 files.
