I second that. I had no trouble hooking it up directly to (k)ubuntu 7.10.

This is a great mono-laser printer. Since 95% of my printing is just text stuff, this is the most cost-effective solution for me. Built-in networking, vendor supported drivers, fast, and it wont break your budget (on sale for like $90 right now).
I've done a considerable about of printing on this thing for the last year and a half and I still haven't replaced the starter toner cartridge.
