Now if I only knew how to connect the speakers in such a way as to be able to let either one use the speakers.
If the CDRW doesn't have audio out, it doesn't have audio out.
If it has a standard three- or four-wire connection for analog audio to a sound card, you can tap that, but I wouldn't. Just run 'em both through the sound card and let that operate as the mixer.
