Soft mod. I've been looking at doing one that just requires you to pop out the harddrive. I think it's possible without having one of the video games to do the save game hack, but I'm not sure.
Hard mod or soft? I have an already hard-modded system (using the Xenium ICE chip) that can run Gentoo, but I think I may have lost the keyboard/mouse that I hacked for it. I also don't have a small enough TV to bring, so it would be a lame demo.

I'll bring my old Xbox and we can try modding it for the "Demo day". -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux)
