Adknowledge is looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our dynamic team in Kansas City.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Adknowlege’s Junior Systems Administrator position will be charged with:

· Mail server configuration and monitoring:  Responsibility for configuring mail servers which send millions of emails per day and 24/7 monitoring of their up-time.  Be prepared to get paged at least once per week regarding issues.

· DNS setup and configuration including domain registration.

· Installing new linux hardware and software

· Network monitoring

· Database administration

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a junior level, hands-on professional with the following qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

· 1+ years of system administration experience on a Unix platform.

· 1+ years experience building and managing load-balanced web server clusters with Apache, PHP, and Virtual Hosting.

· 1+ years experience with backup and recovery at an enterprise-level, including tar, afio, ssh, and scp.

· 1+ years of disk management experience with Solaris LVM, Disk Suite, or Linux LVM.

· 1+ years experience of building, managing, and responding to monitoring systems measuring critical system performance.

· General familiarity with DNS, SMTP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, GRE), transfer (SSH, SCP, Rsync).
